Why don't priests remove fleshly temptation?

If priests are supposed to keep a lifelong celibacy as a sacred vow, why not be like the Essenes in Jesus time, or the castrati in classical music eras?

Understand that lust and temptation is in the heart and mind of the one who is committing such!

They're not supposed to remain celibate.  They're supposed to marry, just like apostles and bishops.

That was only necessary when the church was physically persecuted,  like it is in the PRC, and NK.

If you didn't know, in Catholicism they establish that a priest must be unmerited. But, that's not very good, because pedophilia can arise.

thats what they SHOULD be doing, and yet if a man cannot contain himself he should get married. somehow the catholic church changed this idea around 800 - 1000 a.d.
