Is America the Babylon the bible speaks about in Revelation 14:8?

To God, one day could mean one year. America is destroying itself from within. And Trump seems to be the trigger. Now federal troops are being deployed to fight against our own people. Could bombing our own people be next if Trump loses the election? You might think I'm crazy, but I wouldn't put anything past Trump. He does not care about the American people, only himself.

    It is not America.

Babylon the great,is the world empire of false religion, embracing all religions whose teachings and practices do not conform to the true worship of the only true God Jehovah. y people

Following the Flood of Noah's day, false religions had its beginning at BGet out of her, mabel (later known as Babylon). (Genesis 10:8-10; 11:4-9)

In time, Babylonish religious beliefs and practices spread to many lands. So Babylon the Great became a fitting name for false religion as a whole.

Why is it urgent to get out of Babylon the Great without delay ?

Revelation 18:4:  "Get out of her,my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues ."

The Bible often uses couples in apposition.

Here Babylon is set in apposition to Jerusalem.

Jerusalem represents the heavenly City, the City of God, so Babylon represents the Earthly city, the dwelling place of those against God.

Thus Babylon refers to this world which is in rebellion against God.

You can easily see how this whole world does not want God but goes its own wicked way.

The Bible's reference ot Babylon The Great speaks of the world empire of false religion. America isn't Babylon the Great, but it plays an enormous part in the spreading of lies about God and Christ.

It might be, but I think it's much more likely that the hedonistic mindset of today's society is Babylon.

Babylon, Iraq is Babylon in the bible, and there is no other Babylon. The United States conquered Babylon and became the Whore of Babylon (Revelation 17.18.....most powerful nation in the world is the Whore of Babylon).  The Dragon is George Bush senior, and the Beast is George W. Bush. The bible says that the Dragon and Beast have souls from the smoky bottomless pit of hell.  Pastors tell lies about the predictions of Revelation (the bible), but Revelation says that those who lie about Revelation will be cast into the lake of fire of hell to burn for all eternity, and be written out of the book of life forever.  So, those pastors who lie about Babylon being somewhere other than Iraq, will burn in hell forever, and they will be written out of the book of life.  Since the predictions of Revelation have come true in our generation, you'd think that a lot of pastors would be preaching about it, rather than telling lies to cover it up.  Revelation also says that in the final days, preachers will be dishonest, and we can't trust them.  Our only source of knowledge of God, therefore, is reading and understanding the bible ourselves.  Atheists can clearly see the evil of President George W. Bush, who didn't want until he knew that Iraq was involved in terrorism, and had to argue with the main nations of the world about declaring war on Iraq.  Russia and France refused to cooperate with President W. Bush's insane hatred of Iraq.  In the bible (Revelation), God had warned not to attack Iraq, or face his wrath, and the world would eventually end and all life would be extinguished by God.  Ignoring God's warning and admonition to attack Iraq, President W. Bush, on a whim, with drunken aids (Vice President Dick Cheney had been drinking with Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld), chose to defy God and attack Iraq.

Your Q seemed like a good one, until you added your comments about America and Trump. This indicates that you are an America who is obsessed about America to the virtual exclusion of considering other countries in the world. Do you not know that this is a global site with millions of non-Americans participating? They do not care about Trump. The Revelation deals with cosmic issues, not about any one nation at any particular point in time. It deals with the return of Christ to Earth, to usher in the Day of Resurrection and Judgment. Everyone living, and all who have ever lived, will be affected. Please take your blinkers off and stop thinking the universe revolves around America. Babylon the Great, in Rev. 14:8, is about a spiritual entity that has no geographic borders.

No sir, mystery Babylon was ancient Rome, so named because she worshiped all the same Babylonian idols. Revelation is all about Jesus' judgment and destruction of Rome with 21 judgments. He called Rome the seat of Satan. It was Rome who crucified Jesus, martyred his apostles, and persecuted the church for three centuries.

    As for America....

Psalm 9:17 KJV — The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Trump and Revalation are separated by thousands of years. One has nothing to do with the other.

I think this reference was about the Roman emporor Nero.

    Source(s): But I don't like Trump either.
