Should Mitch McConnell be put in prison if he causes the collapse of the U.S. economy because he refuses to pass a decent recovery bill?

The economy is set to fall off a cliff and he is holding relief up. Is more concerned that the wealthy get theirs first.

Mitch McConnell can't be put in prison for following the standard Republican policies of favoring the rich.  It is the basic Republican economic political philosophy.

In May, the Democratic-led House passed a $3 trillion coronavirus relief package.  McConnell said it was "Dead on Arrival."

Now the Republicans are, of necessity, reconsidering but they are trying to greatly diminish aid contained in the bill to help the middle class and to help state and local governments, among other things that they don't like.

The economic well-being of the middle class and the poor has never been a Republican priority.  Republicans adhere to a trickle-down theory that, even after it's been proven to be ridiculous, can't form the basis of any viable legal action against McConnell. If the economy collapses, his actions are still not considered criminal.
