What does "lambe" mean exactly here?

[İn The Faerie Queene] "The ‘Gentle Knight’ wears the red cross on a white background asso‑ ciated with Christian crusaders, the Knights Templar and of course St George. He travels alongside Una (or ‘One’), who is as ‘pure an innocent’ as her ‘milke white lambe’, the first of several personifications of Elizabeth in Spenser’s poem."
