Can husky puppies shed?

My husky puppy is 2 months old now and I've noticed that hes already shedding a few hairs. Although we're feeding him good expensive food maybe it might be because of a poor diet?

    ARE YOU KIDDING?

You clearly did not read up on the breed before you brought this HAIR MACHINE into your home.

Yes and will, a bunch. He is now starting to shed the puppy coat and let the adult coat push out. Your dog will shed year round, some months more than others like in the summertime. Brush him every day to minimize the shock to you of bundles of hair.

Of course they shed, all dogs do even as puppies..... if you didn't want a high shedding dog that you will need to groom reguarly then you do not get a double coated high shed breed.

Diet can influence shedding as can heat and a dog that was bred to live outside in very cold weather, once you put them into a central heated house and/or you live in a warm/hot climate they will shed year around

Huskies shed a lot. Find a groomer, and make a schedule. Youll need it.

He should not be shedding very much at only 8 weeks old.  May be the result of a poor diet.

Well of COURSE Husky puppies shed, even as little babies if you are not in a cold mountainous region, or in the southern hemisphere (where winter) is - right now.  It is a notoriously HEAVY SHEDDER and (btw) has a DOUBLE coat.

All of this was SELF-OBVIOUS.... had you done ANY research before purchase.  Not our fault you did not do your "homework" and WAIT until you learn - WHAT ELSE you  did not know - which is why THREE QUARTERS of the breed - end up in RESCUE.  If you do not LIKE the truth - too BAD!

YES, BIG TIME.  Husky are heavy shedders, even the little new ones.  It is just too hot & they have to shed that coat.  It is sad to have a Husky in weather that is above 32 degrees.  They can lay down on the snow packed ground to sleep & wake up buried in 4 foot of snow.  Shake it off & be happier than in the heat.  This breed really thrives on sub zero temperatures.

They are a beautiful dog but the heat just ruins the coat & the coat is part of what makes this breed so popular.

Seriously?  A tiny bit of research would have taught you that this breed is a very heavy shedder.

Dogs shed. All of them. Even puppies. And when they get their adult coat in, you will see EVEN MORE. If you're this neurotic and worried about your dog at 2 months, man oh man...just you wait.

All animals will naturally shed when it is hot outside. Even puppies.
