Has anyone been arrested for a crime committed more than 100 years prior to the arrest?

If not, what is the record?

This would never happen.Apart from the fact that the person would have to be 116 years old there would be no tangible proof to arrest them. Also there is a law called The Statute of Limitations which means generally you cannot be arrested for certain crimes after a certain period of time has elapsed., typically ten years. However this does not cover certain crimes like murder or treason.

Just think through what you have asked. Even if a young child steals a few sweets from a shop it is hardly likely that he will be arrested at the age of 105, even if he is still alive. In the case of a 'serious' crime, unlikely to be committed before the age of 15, the person would almost certainly be dead 100 years later.

It is doubtful that the perp would have been alive long enough to be charged.

No criminal survived that long, life is short and the likes of Jack The Ripper can get away with murder.
