If you're dealing with irritated itchy nose, trying to prevent irritated itchy nose, then try using a Q-tip to apply a little triple anti-biotic ointment to the inside of each nostril.

Along with this, cleanse your nose and nasal sinuses regularly. Get a normal saline nose spray at any drugstore. This is just sterile water with a tiny bit of salt. Spray several spritzes into each nostril then have a good blow. Repeat if desired.

This treatment is usually effective for people who complain that their nostrils are irritated or itchy, that their nostrils are dry and scabby, that they need to "pick" their nose often, and so on. It's not going to clear up a major issue but it will help with ordinary dryness and irritation.

Also, if you "pick" your nose because it's scabby inside -- stop. Just endure the annoyance of the scabs for a few days while the ointment helps those little sores heal. They're not going to heal if you're ripping the scab off every day.

Are your eyes dry too? Your lips, tongue, or mouth? If yes, maybe you need to increase how much water you drink. Try to drink at least 3 quarts of water a day. No, soda, coffee, juice, milk, tea don't count. Drink water. People drink a pint of beer like it's nothing. You can easily pour a pint of water down your gullet 6 times a day.
