Do you believe the human nature theory of criminal behavior or the social theory of criminal behavior?

I  think it's because we're all born evil.

Most of us can change it.

The cause of crime can be reduced to the human ego.  We all want what we want when we want it. Those who commit crimes don't care who they hurt.

Like most things I think it is a mixed picture. There are certainly some humans that seem more prone to crime. However when you work with really young children you have to wonder what happens over a lifetime to lead to such choices. I think if we were to do some sampling we would find human reaction to scarcity, poverty, abuse, and fear to be common causes of criminality later in life.
