Why is it considered selfish to commit suicide, but it isn’t considered selfish to expect someone else to continue living just for your own?
And isn’t it just a tad bit sadistic to demand someone else to continue living in pain just for your own satisfaction?

It's selfish because the suicidee robs their family, friends and loved ones of themselves, and leaves a gaping hole that can never be fulfilled, no matter how they got along. And even when one thinks they have no family that cares about them and no friends, they have peers, coworkers, or someone who will be affected by the horrible news of their death. And yes, suicide is ALWAYS horrible news, no MATTER WHAT the person was going through, because it shows ipso facto that that person was in severe need of help, and did not receive it. Those who knew them, especially close family and friends, will always feel a sense of guilt or failure, regardless of what they did or could have done.
As for your flawed argument on sadism and demand to make someone continue living, although some people close may express this as a demand, this is not at all the only answer to why suicide is NOT okay. Someone is in PAIN, PAIN enough that they think suicide is the only way out, this person needs their PAIN to STOP -not their LIFE!

Don't do to others what you hate; the Golden Rule we should all abide by. If we could do that we would each be kind and supportive towards each other.

Sad that you hadn’t considered the joy, experience, knowledge, humor, compassion you’ve given to others and see it more as self satisfaction or greed by those who’ve known you. Please see a specialist ASAP to garner a glimpse into what others see
