Should I stop listening to funny podcasts at the gym because of the danger of laughing in the middle lifting heavyweights?
While at the gym I like to listen to a podcast that I really enjoy. But today the practice almost crushed me with a 60kg barbell.
I was doing overhead barbell press and when they started talking about a witch making chili con carn with her coven I couldn't hold my laughter and came crashing down. Didn't get hurt, but very nearly did and my fellow gym goers asked if I was okay. I just said, "the podcast got to funny".
BUt the real crux of the issue is the chance of sudden laugh weakness killing me. Is podcast entertainment more important than my life? Probably right?
