Is it possible to be intelligent and have no interest in chess?

    Your question is childish. Chess is just a game. Whether intelligent or not, people have their own interest in games. Some play some games but some don't. It is not the matter of intelligence but the matter of interest.

    I"m sure that it's possible, but I've never met a really intelligent person that didn't have at least a passing interest in chess. The challenge is often irresistible.

    It's quite possible because chess is a sedentary game requiring sitting a long time, which isn't healthy.
