Why haven't the New York Knicks won an NBA championship since 1973?

Being inherently not good enough probably has something to do with it....

the competition is high level in the NBA you can't just walk in and win .New york or any other team . but we have to say that in the 90's they crossed path with Michael jordan and since then their management and recruiting has been lackuster

Combo of bad luck in their best years since 1973 and Knicks being the Knicks. I don't know the last time they had a good management.

Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Dr. J, Isaiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, etc....

Bad luck pretty much.

Because they have not played good enough to win one.

Mostly really, really bad luck. It should have won the lottery last year but the pelicans won. To this day, I still think the lottery is rigged. When lebron left Cleveland, Cleveland somehow wins the lottery. The brow leaves New Orleans and New Orleans wins the lottery.
In 2015, it should have the 2nd pick but ended up with the 4th pick. Porzingis wasn’t a bad pick but he’s no longer with the Knicks.
Dolan is an idiot.
