Sometimes it really depends on the company, I'm currently employed as an Audit Assistant yet I only earn a minimum rate. So I did some research and found that there are numerous careers/jobs that pays well. The best part is that you can do it from the comfort of your home with low capital.

you can read more about it here:

Definitely go with IT.  There are chronic needs for all levels.  Also, if you have no training, before considering college, look at local certification programs.  These are cheaper, take much less time, and most important, they offer a career path.  Once you have a lower end cert, get an entry job and start thinking about the next level.  At some point, you might want to specialize in cyber security or whatever, and this may require courses, but it's a great way to learn the various things IT pros do. Some of these jobs are home based, but many are not.

"High paying" is a relative term.

This is one total job index:

Multimedia artists and animators and video game designers are mostly desk jobs.

They average about $75K/year in the USA.

Dispatchers (Police, Fire, Ambulance) pay scale is not high.

Accountants and auditors are a wide field of mostly desk jobs averaging $72K/year.

Actuarial accounting is just about all desk job. Actuaries average $108K. Most actuaries work for insurance companies. Although most work full time in an office setting, some actuaries who work as consultants may travel to meet with clients.

    Math skills are essential.

Mathematician is a specialized career, seated.

Bookkeepers, Accounting, and Auditing clerks are lower paid.

Securities, Commodities, and Financial Services Sales Agents are lower paid.

Many judges are high paid and sit a lot, but any elected job generally has activity in elections, and appointed for life had to get to that situation.

Psychiatrists are medical doctors and psychologists and typically work in an office.

Airline pilots are seated and high paid.

Computer and Information Systems managers are office seated jobs almost always.

    Air Traffic Controllers?

Database administrators and systems analysts sit at a computer mostly.

You can make millions of dollars day trading, never leaving a chair, but the combination of skill and luck and some financial backing leaves few successful.

Some youtube bloggers do surprisingly well, but again, a slim successful field.

Judging by the current incumbent, I'd suggest President of the United States although most others have worked very hard at the job.
