Black Lives Matter ?
I am the only Black employee in a team of Doctors.
The rest of the employees are all white
We all get along very well and I enjoy their
Company.
Since the unlawful death of George Floyd with all the protesting/ Marches
And Black Lives Matters demonstrations which I wholeheartedly support.
I am surprised that no one in my team has asked me how I am feeling or even acknowledged our struggles. Or at least say something that will show me they are aware of the situation.
When I walk in the room nothing is said
I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing that 11 of my team members keeping quiet.
What are your thoughts ? (Genuine answers please)
Thank you

It may well be that they don't see your color. I was watching a news discussion show on TV and one of the participants was a black lady that I have see many times. She is alway well prepared, well spoken and very objective in her comments. Someone asked about her experience as a black person and all of a sudden I realized I did not see her race. To me she was just a very competent person doing her job.
