Why are the animatronics children in its a small world?

Funny, I don't find them to be creepy at all. In fact, I think they're cute.

I agree that they are kind of creepy. My brother and I went on the ride when we went to Disney World, and the ride was very annoying. We both  agreed to never go on that ride again, provided that we ever get to go to Disney World again.

For the reasons mentioned above.  Also, Disney hasn't gone as far as to put real children inside.

The ride was created on 1964 for the New York World’s Fair.  Hence the children from around the world. The ride was pretty sophisticated for the time period. It was over seen by Walt Disney in support of UNICEF.  It was a huge hit. It was shipped back to Disneyland and opened in 1966.

Although outdated it is an icon for Disney theme parks. We go on it once each trip. It is a good way to get out of the sun and cool off. And the line moves fast. Little kids still like it.
