Isn't the better solution to UBI to take the jobs that were automated away back?

There are plenty of people that want to work, but cannot afford to spend time or money on a college degree. Shouldn't they be given the ability to work rather than just kept in the welfare drain where they can never advance themselves?

Remember, having a steady work history helps you land a good job... just being on welfare looks bad to future employers.

solution to the UBI ? The UBI is not a problem.

There is no point in keeping people occupied in bullshit-jobs.

Welfare drain? One of the reasons to introduce a UBI is that we don't want to punish people for accepting a part-time job when they are unemployed. With a UBI, you can keep a large chunk of what you earn instead of losing benefits

How about low cost or prepaid colleges or tech schools?
