    They misinterpret it's meaning:

    JOHN 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son {TO TEACH}, that whosoever believeth in him {HIS TEACHING} should not perish, but have everlasting life.  However:

    1. Christ is the Son of God.

    2. Jesus is the son of man;

    3. Christ lived in Jesus as Christ can live in all. Jesus' last name wasn't Christ.

    Here is the truth:  Death leads to immediate heaven or hell. The only way to have eternal life, the only way to be in heaven and avoid hell, is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life (John 6:47).  It is that simple and that easy.  It is too late to be saved after death.  Jesus is God and Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).  Nothing else pays for our sins, not works from us or anything else, and Jesus already paid for our sins with His death and blood.  You cannot add any works to getting into heaven (Romans 4:5)...

    I wasn't aware that they did. However, it is in order for those who are not saved, to see that God can save you, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have eternal life" Many folks at all games have never heard the gospel or had the opportunity of being saved. God has told Christians to preach the gospel to EVERY creature because EVERYONE should have the opportunity to be saved. It's too late on Judgement Day.  We must be saved whilst we still live in this earth
