Which crown from the Crown Jewels will Camilla wear as Queen? The same one worn by Queen Elizabeth the wife of George VI?

The Crown Jewels will be set into her bridle and girth with a spun-gold fly mask and an ermine turn-out blanket. Charles would naturally want gold hoof shellac. HM insisted Camilla's grooms use Essie's Ballet Slippers. Still petulant.ย

The Queen Consorts traditionally use the same items, but they are reset to fit the wearer.

Only the Crown of a Consort because that is all she will ever be a consort

The tradition since 1902 (coronation of Edward VII & Queen Alexandra) has been that Queen Consorts have a new crown made for them. ย

Camillas crown will be made with detachable arches (removed for use as a dowager if necessary), and set with the Kor-i-Noor, which will be replaced with a replica so the diamond can be used in the future for Catherines crownย

Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, wore a different crown from Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary, it was made for her. Queen Mary was still alive when George VI and Queen Elizabeth were crowned and was wearing her own crown for the coronation. The Koh-i-noor diamond, however, was transferred from Queen Alexandra's crown to Queen Mary's to Queen Elizabeth's and I expect it will be transferred to Queen Camilla's crown. Queen Camilla's crown will probably be the Queen Mother's crown with modifications although a new crown could be made. Queen Elizabeth's crown was last seen in public outside the Tower when it was on her coffin for her funeral. The crown will become part of the Crown Jewels.ย

None of them will be used. The tradition since the time of Queen Adelaide is that a new one is made, later ones re-using stones from earlier consort crowns.

  • She will wear the biggest, blingiest crown in an effort to draw attention away from her face.

Work it out for yourself, it's not exactly rocket science.

Too bad that you just don't know how this whole royalty thing works.

For that matter, YOU could wear a coronet and princely robes at Charles' coronation. ย It still wouldn't make you queen, either.
