Mind Tickler?

I am doing a crossword book that has a mind tickler puzzle I am stuck on and need help. It is the following:

A former chemist opened a science-themed candy shop, and he had some special offers for the first week:

1.) 10 Neutrons and 10 Electrons: 55 cents (save 5 cents)

2.) 5 Electrons and 10 Protons: $1 (save 10 cents)

3.) 25 Neutrons: 40 cents (save 10 cents)

What would be the full price of 1 Neutron, 1 Electron, and 1 Proton?

    10N + 10E = 60

    so, N + E = 6...(1)

    5E + 10P = 110

    so, E + 2P = 22...(2)

    25N = 50

    i.e. N = 2

    (1) => 2 + E = 6

    so, E = 4

    (2) => 4 + 2P = 22

    so, 2P = 18

    Then, P = 9

    Hence, 1 Neutron = 2 cents, 1 Electron = 4 cents and 1 Proton = 9 cents
