When we watch old sporting events on TV, do we deprive the participants of their free will?
I watched Miami vs. Ohio State last night, a game that was played in 2003. I knew what happened ahead of time.
For that matter, do we negate our own free will by remembering the past?

No, you are still watching free will, free will in the past.

No? Why would we? What an odd question.Source(s): Philosophy degree

I get what you're trying to do, but God did more than just know how things would unfold. He knew at the moment of creation. In effect hand picking and choosing which set of events would be the ones to actually play out.

Maybe you should be using your free will to decide not to watch it then!
