Why are all deaths blamed on coronavirus ?

I heard a couple weeks ago that in many hospitals across the US all the deaths in their hospitals are blamed on Covid 19

That is caused by the Demorats trying to make a political issue out of everything.

    • Republicans like Rand Paul, the person who serves morbidly obese Trump his food, Pence's press secretary, and so many others got the disease, ant. Trump FAILED to make a HEALTH CARE ISSUE out of the 2018 WARNINGS---and so he is now guilty of criminally negligent genocide.

Its so they can apply for and get more money from the US GOV. There have been many doctors and Hosp Administrators saying that over the last few weeks. Like Cancer  You can have skin cancer, die of a heart attack and you are a number on the overall CANCER RELATED AND DEATH rolls just because you had it. Make their numbers much much bigger than they actually are. Dems Love it so they can try to keep more control over you. IT Makes People with Money and the right stocks even more money.

Hospitals don't get money for deaths, they get it reimbursed for treatments of patients - COVID patients tend to require more care = higher bills.  https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/hospital-payments-and-the-covid-19-death-count/. Also, the number crunchers are much smarter than you represent.

righteousjohnson, if you're going to cite a source, cite the source.  https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm. They're pretty clear that starting with the week ending in March 28th, their data shows 7 consecutive weeks above the statistical threshold for expected average deaths.

It's fun to feed the hype and get people to pay attention to that rather than looking at Biden's corruption.  It looks bad that he had his son hired by the Ukrainian company and then forced the Ukraine gov't to fire the prosecutor who looked into the bribery.

People have already existing health problems and the virus accelerates it. That's what people are forgetting. It's not always the virus alone.

"Tolled"?  Maybe such people have more than one person in the car and get to drive free in the HOT lanes.

They aren't.  That's just a stupid conspiracy theory put out by those who don't  have the slightest idea what's going on.  Public health officials say Covid-19 deaths are probably underestimated, because even taking known Covid death numbers out, death rates are significantly higher than expected for this time of year.

Is it not possible that COVID-19 deaths are underestimated because there isn't the ability to test everyone who passes away? It's plausible that doctors can make an educated guess without definitive proof and the aggregate numbers might approximate the magnitude of the problem.

A fully-debunked, ridiculous conspiracy that Trumpsters' keep harping on.

Hospitals do not even determine cause of death-- That's the *coroner's responsibility.

    • The coroner has the job of determining cause of death for the death certificate. Until the death, the DIAGNOSIS is what determines how to treat the disease.

That’s not true. Florida isn’t blaming every deaths on the corona. Corona only gets the blame is a healthy individual dies. If the person was obese, had high blood pressure, diabetes, then those pre-existing conditions killed them.

States that wants to open earlier put COVID deaths on pre-existing conditions in order to justify re-opening. One of the criteria for opening is that there must be 14 days of declining deaths. By putting deaths on other causes, states will have lower death numbers.

But there is no way to know if any particular individual will die from it.  While it's rare, even kids can die from it.
