Why do people think there are no wealthy Black ethnic groups besides African-Americans?

According to Wikipedia. The Median Black income is $20,277 a year.

The following Black majority nations have GDP per Capitas higher than that.

Afro-Guadeloupeans: $21,780

Afro-Bahamian: $31,660

Afro-Curacaoan: $36,165

Afro-Caymanian: $58,808

Afro-Bermudian: $99,363

So the claim that all Black groups are poor worldwide is a myth.

Yes, a lot of the smaller Caribbean islands are majority black, very safe and have very high standards of living. Barbados also comes to mind. Barbados ranks in the highest category of the UN’s human development index and is very charming.

In America, many blacks tend to do pretty well in the Washington DC area. The richest black county (Prince George’s County) is right outside of DC in Maryland. Even though some parts of it are rough; most of it is gorgeous. Surrounding counties like Charles County also has a lot of rich blacks. Atlanta does well too.

However, the sad reality is that there is a lot more black despair in the world than black affluence. Sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti continues to dominate the bottom of the UN’s GDP and human development list. But a few countries like Botswana, Gabon, Namibia and Cape Verde do fairly well.
