881 people have died from the coronavirus in the US a country of 330 million people. What the hell is with all this panic nonsense?

That is so called natural selection.
That is also a chance for the new generation to take over the world if they survive.
Tomorrow will be better and the new generation will have better immunity. That is a process of evolution.

This ladies and gentlemans has given the news and medjia a big fright.
its the 'real deal' this.
it does not carry ammunition, fire power nor does it boast nuclear warheads.
its a microscopic virus and its killing people remorselessly ALL OVER the world with ease. It doesn't care about religion or race.
It just kills, and kills you horrible way.

Quite right John. Here in the UK we are now a police state so think yourself lucky so far. Governments are control freaks.

The problem is, at the moment, cases in the US are doubling roughly every 2.2 days, which means after a certain point the number of cases will skyrocket as per the attached graph. 1.5 million cases by about April 5-6th is perfectly feasible. At that point your hospitals will be totally overwhelmed and unable to treat everyone who needs it - people, lots of people, will have to be left to die.Source(s): https://benflips.shinyapps.io/nCovForecast/

The news is trying to create hysteria.

The numbers are going up exponentially. For instance every 8-9 days the number of cases goes up 10 fold. This means there could be about 100,000 cases by the end of this week. From there it could reach a million cases a little over a week later. This makes it twice as contagious as the flu and about 25 times more deadly. By the time this is over expect over a million dead. It is the greatest threat to the US since World War II.

The issue with Covid-19 is the high hospitalization rate. We know from other nations that it can be 10 to 20% in some areas. The US has 2.8 hospital beds for every 1000 people. This is less than Italy, China, and South Korea.
So the problem is very clear. If large numbers of Americans contract Covid-19 in a short space of time, the healthcare system won't have enough beds or ventilators to deal with the high hospitalization rate. And that's additional to the normal things the healthcare system already has to do.
The only way we can deal with the serious cases is to slow the spread so numbers are manageable.
As someone working with Covid-19 patients and has seen the effects first hand, trust me ... you should be worried. We haven't experienced this sort of global pandemic in almost 70 years and we aren't set up to deal with it. Plus ... it is going to get worse. The US is about to become a major centre of this outbreak.

Didn’t he say it would start getting better in 3 weeks or something?
If he wanted to contain the Coronavirus in such a short period of time, surely he should have acted much quicker by implementing an immediate lockdown and invested huge amounts of resources in developing testing kits weeks if not months ago in the same way South Korea and Japan did
To be fair I don’t think many Americans, like most Europeans we’re so culturally obedient as the Asian nations and it has taken and is still taking time for our cultures to adjust to social distancing and strictly following government guidelines in the same way as Asia, especially considering we’ve been brought up to go to work even if feeling slightly unwell and now all of a sudden are being told to isolate up to 14 days even if we have mild symptoms, that combined with the fact our business model isn’t particularly designed to cushion the workforce in the same way as the Asian models do.
So in the UK and to a lesser extent Europe, we’ve gone for gradual lockdowns and mitigation and America in general seems to be going down the same route although New York seems to be getting things done whilst In other parts of America you seem to still have people partying to the spring break

is it any wonder US children are fatally shot daily and republicans barely blink
republicans are too dumb to understand the stupidity of the question
