If I interact with my phone (changing songs) whilst it's in a phone mount does that still count as using a phone whilst driving?

Just seems odd. Using a mobile device whilst driving is illegal yet auxiliary cable stereos and phone mounts seem to be encouraging it. Where's the line?

In the UK at least (as you don't say where you are), the law is against "hand held" devices while in charge of a vehicle.

You can use them in a fixed mount.
