It's easy, 2020 + 384 = 2404. However, you need to know that the old guys back at the time of Jesus did not know about the concept of 0 on a number line, so you have to subtract 1 year from that to get 2403 years.

The numbers we use to label the years are "ordinal" numbers; not cardinal numbers.

Year 1 is meant as 1st year. It covers the interval from t=0 to t=1.

One year of the era has elapsed at the END of Year 1.

I will ignore the idea that the start of the year has changed over the centuries (the use of January 1 is rather recent - for the Romans, it was March 1). I'll just pretend that it has been January 1 all the time.

The day before January 1, AD 1, is labelled December 31, 1 BC.

If I read your question as being from January 1, 384 BC, to January 1, AD 2020.

From Jan. 1 384 BC to Dec. 31, 1 BC = 384 years

From Jan. 1 AD 1 to Jan. 1, 2019 = 2019 years

Total number of full years = 2403.

Add the 24 days (out of a 366-day year) = 2403.0656

-----

Ordinal numbers (also called ranks) are normally written (in English) with the "th"

The year we are in is the 2020th year of the era Anno Domini. It is only at the end of the 2020th year that the number of years will total 2020. In many languages, the year is still given using the ordinal suffix.

In ordinal numbers, there is no such thing as a 0th object. That is why Dennis The Small did not use a Year 0.

BTW, tradition is (or was) that AD comes before the year number, while BC comes after. Why? I don't know. There is a reason, I just don't remember it and I feel too lazy to look it up.

Years 384 BC to 1 BC = 384 years

Year 1 AD to Year 2020 = 2020 years

Add them together, it is 2404 years, inclusive. But since you mention January 24, it's only 2403 years.

Add them together and deduct 1 because there was no zero year and so it is 2403 years

This is a case like the last one you asked and I gave an example of one year in BC and one year in AD.

Subtract the years (using a negative value for BC) but since there is no year 0, we have to subtract a year from your answer. So we get:

2020 - (-384) - 1

2020 + 384 - 1

2404 - 1

2403 years between 384 BC and 2020.
