My bathroom sink pipe?

Is there asbestos in my sink pipe?  i have a house built in the late 50's

    Nope, but your kitchen floor covering might be full of it, as may be your ductwork insulation, and your house siding.

    No. pipe is cast iron.

    No. Asbestos was never used in pipes.

    "IN" the pipes  i doubt IN the PIPES  most are made of COPPER  in the past and  connected with  LEAD    Asbestos was a ingredient of INSULATION  or  some POPCORN CEILINGS

    no. sink pipes were not insulated [which is what asbestos was used for]

    IF there is, it would be a fibery insulation layer AROUND the pipe.

    Cannot think why any bathroom would ever have had asbestos in it....
