The term "alt-right" is short for alternative right, i.e. an alternative to the self-styled "conservatives" who have been running the Republican Party for decades but have managed to conserve nothing, and managed to accomplish nothing except surrender to the left over and over again on every issue of importance.

The alt-right is a political movement which seeks to actually advance the interests of average normal Americans, rather than just make empty promises to get votes and then betray them.

    Examples:  Ann Coulter.  Tucker Carlson.

The alt-right, an abbreviation of alternative right, is a loosely connected far-right, white nationalist movement that originated in the United States.

    Examples:

    Steve Bannon

    Milo Yiannopoulos

Before Newt Gengrich and Billy Graham, the right was defined by actual conservatism. Reluctance to change. Fiscal responsibility.

In the past few decades, a new right has emerged that is defined by hate.
