2007 Jeep compass windshield wiper will only work on high?

I got a 2007 jeep compass, the windshield wipers just quit all of a sudden while I was driving…. They will only work on high and even then they are struggling almost like slo motion.... Bought a new motor and checked the frame to make sure it wasn't seizing up... Nothing changed, still the same issue... So now im thinking its electrical?? Any idea what I should do next?

Replace the stalk that controls the wiper. It's like $40 at AutoZone.

You have second speed dialer probably on the control ... one that you can adjust intervals when you put it on setting for light drizzle .

What does "checked the frame" mean? While the wiper motor was out of the wiper transmission linkage you needed to move the linkage by hand to see if it was bad and binding.

Run a ground wire to the new wiper motor housing and see if that helps.

Did the new motor come with a module that controls the speed and intermittent wiper function?.

Yes thats what i meant by checking the frame. Moving the linkage by hand....  The new motor did not come with a new module. Didn't think it needed one considering its from the same model car.
