Does the thread pitch multiplied by the lever length equal the mechanical advantage?

    a threaded rod and a lever are two different types of mechanical advantage. 

    for a simple lever, MA = a/b where a and b are the distances from the pivot point

    for a threaded rod, MA = 2πr/L where r is the length of the lever that turns the rod and L is the distance thread to thread.
