In my opinion, a re-set would remove any spyware. On my android phone, I regularly run Hyro antivirus security - cleaner.. It saves losing files on a re-set

ever think about installing a free anti-virus or is that only for losers?

it will set the phone back to how it came from the factory.
however, if your device got a virus (particularly a rootkit) it may not fix that.
but you don't need to do any of that to get rid of spyware. just go to your apps list, and remove the app there. if you don't see it, then you may have a rootkit, and should take it to a repair shop.
