Has anyone used Mitex Two Way Radios / Walkie Talkies - what do you think of them?

Looking for what users of these radios have found to be good / bad points and if they would recommend them or not.

Rather good high end talkies, if you can afford them get them.

    Never heard of Mitex.

The oldest brands are usually the best.

    I would buy only these:

Kenwood, Yaesu, ICOM, Motorola, Cobra, Panasonic, Midland, Uniden.

Why mess with junky unreliable walkie talkies when you all have cell phones?

Walkie-talkies don't need any external infrastructure to talk to each other.  Cellphones without "coverage" are as useful as a doorstop for communicating with others.

at this lake house we've gone to for vacation they had a handful of walkie talkies there.  the kids would mainly play around with them around the house if it was raining or something.

Cool story, bro', were any of your units Mitex?  Probably not unless you're in the UK.
