Committing felony fraud is always possible. If it wasn't possible, we wouldn't have laws against it.

No. IF you were granted a Social Security card while you were on some temporary legal status with permission to work, e.g. employment visa, the card expires with that visa or EAD. When the employer tries to verify SSN, it will show as invalid, not authorized to work. No employer can hire you.

Attempting to use that Social Security card after your visa/EAD has expired is not only more proof of overstay, but also proof of visa/immigration fraud, and any type of visa/immigration fraud can get you deported/mandatory departure with permanent bar to entry, not just time-bar related to duration of your overstay.

Your social security number will have been valid only for the period of the visa you were granted, So if it was a student or an H1-B visa (for example), it will expire on the date when the visa expired. If you try to use it after that date, it will come up as 'not valid for employment'. You may not be deported but you will certainly not be able to use it to get work.
