It has a very big seal well tank fills with water, gas flame heats up at its bottom to turn water into high pressure steam. Steam comes out at its upper outlet by connecting to metal pipe and passing steam to different area as a power source to drive steam engine or for heating purpose.

A boiler room is where you find a boiler, its associated piping and pumps and boiler controls. It could be a small one with a house boiler the size of a large cabinet or, for large industrial facilities, be as large as a city block housing multiple boilers, each the size of a rail car.

A second meaning of a Boiler Room is a type of illicit "pump and dump" operation, where telephone operators use high pressure dishonest sales tactics to induce people to buy worthless investments in order to make its price go up and refuse to take sell orders. At some point the operators sell their stock before its price collapses. For a good example of such operations watch the movies like Boiler Room and The Wolf of Wall Street.

It has a boiler. A boiler makes steam (or hot water) to send through a building (or even a whole utility system) to provide heat. So in a boiler room, there is a boiler. If you have a question about a boiler plate, you will need to ask a new question. Or just google it.

Things get very hot in the boiler room because that is where they keep the boiler which supplies steam to the engines.
