    1. Unplug your TV and DVD player.

    2. Set the DVD player on a shelf near the TV.

    3. Connect your DVD player with the included cables.

    4. Whichever cable you use, plug one end into the DVD player, and the other into the corresponding port in the TV.

5.Plug the DVD player's power cord into an electrical outlet in the wall.

Plug HDMI cable into DVD player and the other end into TV. There will definitely be HDMI ports on a 6 year old TV> You did not say how old our DVD player is. You may need to use the RCA style cable to connect it if it is old. Your TV may or may not have that as an option, if not then the cable below should work.

Read The Manuals For Your Equipment.

If necessary, get a "HDMI2AV" converter.

use the seperate rca audio and video connections from dvd to tv and watch on channel av1 or av2. if tv doesnt have seperate audio and video connections, conect dvd to vcr, and then connect vcr to tv, if u dont have vcr either, buy a 100 dollar old tv that has audio and video connection
