How do you control little kids?

It's my first year of teaching and I have first graders. I cannot control them at all. They just won't sit down and listen. They talk a lot, move around and cause a huge mess. I know that they just came from kindergarten and it's hard for them to adjust but I need help controlling them. What do I do? Any tips?

Didn’t you get any training in this during your understudies? During your student teaching,

Talk to other teachers at your school.

You need a cute little bunny rabbit and a gun and say "Behave or the bunny gets it"
