120 hz frame rates have been around over ten years, why doesn't my TV provider or XBOX support this with 4k?

It may simply be taking time for 4K to catch up to existing higher frame rates.

I'm not sure about your TV provider, though. Regarding other standards, my old cable provider was in no hurry to begin carrying programming in stereo. I'm not sure lifeline basic cable is available now without a cable box.

Because the console is not powerful enough to push that.

only high end computers can currently push that frame rate resolution combo
