when flying from Flint Michigan to Orlando Fl do we need any special ID?
- Rona LachatLv 79 months ago
You NEED exactly the same identification as anyone else flying in the USA. That you start in Flint or any other Michigan Airport does not matter.
That you end in Florida at some other Airport does not matter which one. You NEED identification for both directions.
Something from the list of approved Identification for your state of normal residence not just the state you board the plane.
TSA has the detailed list of acceptable stuff. MOST can use their drivers license.

Not if you fly before next October. A regular driver's license will do.

If you are under 18, no ID is required. If you are 18 and over, a driver's license best be brought. If you have no ID, then the TSA will give you extra screening and questioning before letting you through.

You need some form of ID listed on the TSA's website.
There is nothing special about Flint or Orlando that make them any different than any other two places in the US.

If you are 18 or older, then you need government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID card, military ID card, etc. A passport is acceptable, but not required.
IDs do not have to compliant with REAL ID for the purpose of air travel until Oct 2020.

No. The REAL ID act has been extended several times and I highly doubt it'll ever come to enforcement.
However, both Michigan and Florida state issued ID's (ID cards and driver's licensees) are both compliant provided you have one of those.

What do you mean by 'special'? Your airline's website will say what ID is accepted.

You need an official state ID or driver's license to go through security at the airport. Children do not need an I.D.

No. It's a domestic flight.
