    To be honest, neither of these. Those are more 70's than 80's When the 80's rolled around, it was more about mauve and Southwest style, so lots of pinks, blues, and tans. Grey was very popular, too. I was a child in the 80's, and all the "new" up and coming homes had baby or dusty blue, pale pink, tan, or grey carpets. Hell, we even had baby blue carpet. Pastels were the rage for home decor. Earth tones were way more 70's.

    Neither. By the the 80s brown was passe. Grey was the new black.

    I would say dark rust more so than light rust.
