If the USA is not a christian nation then why is GOD on MONEY?

    Because in the 1950s, during the Red Scare era, the decision was made to add that to prove America wasn't a bunch of Communists.

  • The word god can denote any god, Baal, Satan, money, your belly, etc. And don't say anything about it being capitalized as all the words in god we trust are capitalized, in fact all the letters are upper case.

    In God we Trust.... not in Allah we trust, not in G-d we Trust (Jewish god) or in Buddha we Trust

    We're 100% Christian.

      The Treaty of Tripoli, enacted by John Adams in 1796, specifically says the US is not a Christian nation.

    It does not say Christian God on the money. You can assume any God. A Muslim may think it is Allah. A Hindu may think it is Krishna.

      @ Everard. No. Christianity is not the only monotheistic religion. gods - would imply polytheism.
