My dog gave birth to 11 puppies last week, she now won’t stop diarrhoea everywhere. What’s wrong with her ? It’s uncontrollable?

There are NO VETS on yahoo. We have NO IDEA what is wrong with your dog (lots of possibilities) but probably an off shoot of having had the litter & you NOT being an experienced breeder; and not having a breeding MENTOR. Please see your vet, ASAP.

Her & the whole litter should have been in to see a Vet when the pups were about 24 hours old. Mama needed a check-up to make sure she was all cleaned out & nothing left inside her. Each pup needed a wellness exam. Now the mama is sick & this probably wouldn't have happened if you'd taken everyone in for a check-up.

Now is better than never to take her & her pups in to see the Vet. You know there is a good possibility that she will die because of this. Many BYBers lose the mama dog & have to hand raise the pups or turn them over to a rescue or the pound.

This is exactly why I don't like people who breed their pets. Mama is sick!!! Get her to a Vet.

You need to take her to a vet. Nobody here knows what her problem is, only a professional who can test her does. If you do not have a money then:

    1) You should of spayed her so she couldn't have pups

    2) Call a shelter who can offer you help.

Did she eat a lot of the placenta because this can produce diarrhoea. It's best not to let them get into more than a couple - in the wild, dogs would eat this to keep them fed while they can't go out hunting but our domesticated b itches don't need this.

You do need to at least talk to your vet - best practice is to take mum and puppies to the vet soon after you think they have finished whelping. She should be checked for retained birthing material, and the pups should have a check to make sure they don't have something you have missed going on.

How are the puppies doing through all this diarrhoea?

Go to the vets. If you don’t have the money to go to the vets you should have never bought the dog. Always have savings for the vet before you decide to buy any animal. Especially, if you plan on breeding the poor thing.
