Why does the scientific community shun those who contest the Round Earth Cult in favour of the at least equally viable Flat Earth Theory?

You have yet to show how your idea is accurate.

When pressed you resort to terms like "round earth cult" and then go on to say the moon landing was a hoax, even though that subject never comes up.

Because Flat Earth is only viable if you ignore centuries of evidence.

Its the Universe that is flat and the Earth is part of it.

It was Einstein that associated gravity field to a curvature.

The flatness of a sphere is measured by its curvature.

If you believe Earth is flat, you're either not thinking critically or are misinformed. It's easy to demonstrate the planet is round. One way of doing it is to compare train timetables in widely separated parts of the world, which enables you to come up with a reliable estimate of the distances in those parts (or they wouldn't be trusted) and that will confirm for you that Earth is round.

    You mistyped:

Not "the at least equally viable"

Should be "the least equally viable".

    "equally viable"?

Even over 2000 years ago, Greek astronomers knew the Earth to be round (and most of them went with "spherical" while a minority went with "cylindrical").

Flat earth theory is not viable, and there is no such thing as the "round earth theory" the earth is in fact round. To suggest that the earth being round is just a theory is basically a round about way of saying that youre a fkn retard. A "round earth theory" would be the same thing as a "bright sun theory"
