Yes. The real world is fascinating enough without adding imaginary invisible super beings. The process that led to all the complexities of human thought started with a single cell. You are being a tad pedantic Randy ;)

No, because all my thoughts come from an organ made of many cells called a "brain".

This is pretty much how most animals who produce zygotes or have 2 sexes reproduce. It is an amazing thing but perfectly natural for Earth.

My thoughts are part of the fact that I am a sentient being.

My brain is much more than just one tiny cell.

I can’t say the same for many Christians based on some of their questions and answers on this forum.

@simon. It’s also widely known that religious people barely ever use that single cell.

We had no brain and therefore no thoughts at all when we were just a zygote. Thoughts began where we were capable of observing the world around us. There is nothing particularly remarkable about stuff growing from seeds or single cells, we see it happening all the time.

I always thought they came from my brain. It's incredible the amount that I never learn in this R+S category.

That fertilized egg cell had no thoughts.

But it had the plans to build

    a thinking machine.

And, yes, I am amazed at that.

No. Thoughts come from the neurons in your brain after it reaches a certain size. You have no thoughts when you were just a germ cell.
