Can anyone recommend a car with CVT transmission? I have read some bad things about these types of transmissions.?

My wife's 2014 Toyota Corolla has I believe the Aisin K313 CVT transmission in it. She has probably around 65k on the clock now and no problems so far. Aisin makes solid transmissions.

Most Asian imports now have the CVT tranny. I know that the Toyota RAV4 does not have a CVT transmission.

Toyota's CVT transmissions are pretty good. The Prius and some versions of the Camry and Corolla have them. Nissan and Subaru get their CVT's from a company called Jatco, and they are notorious for failing at around 30,000 miles or so.

Mazda refuses to use them, Toyota has to have some faith in their's at least; I've heard nothing but horror stories about those crap catchers.
