How does a person from El Salvador week asylum in the U.S?

Hello, I had a sister seeking asylum with her 2 kids at the McAllen Tx. Detention center but they denied her entry and deported her to Mexico on Thursday September 12,2019. She is not Mexican, she knows nothing about Mexico has never been there and she’s now in danger at the Mexican border. What can I do?

She can go back to El Salvador. Asylum is not offered by the USA anymore. We cannot afford to take more.

You can wire her money to get herself and her kids back to El Salvador. If she has a legitimate case (meaning she's being personally persecuted by the government for her religion, sexual orientation or political activities) she can go to the US Consulate in San Salvador and file for asylum there like a normal person would do. Real deal political asylees (like the numerous Mexican journalists currently living in the US) don't just show up at the border like punters. They go through the correct channels and in those cases they're almost always accepted.

Don't feed me your asylum lies. There is only ONE LEGAL WAY into the USA, that is, through immigration. Come into the USA any other way makes you an illegal alien, a law breaker, an UNWANTED human being, an undesirable and a criminal. Get it? TRUMP IN 2020!! LEGAL LATINOS FOR TRUMP.

And seeking asylum has been, the right thing for years. It’s seeking help from all the crime in 3rd world countries. Trump just shellfish and washed in his head along with his supporters.

Clearly she has tried and failed if that is what happened and once asylum is denied anywhere in the world she has no option but to return to her own country as no other country will grant asylum...thise are the laws and fact...... so what can you do? Help her financially to return to her own country

Encourage her to return home. Send her a plane ticket.

You can buy her an airplane ticket to somewhere that is safer than Mexico or El Salvador and less likely to refuse her than the U.S.

Maybe Canada or somewhere in Europe.

Your sister has no valid grounds to apply for asylum in the US. In fact, grounds for asylum are persecution by the govt for religious beliefs, political activities, etc. And the person must be fleeing "imminent danger" and apply at the nearest safe border. The nearest safe border to El Salvador is Mexico. She NEVER should have attempted to enter the US. You only have one shot at asylum, and once denied, have no recourse but to return home. She has to return to El Salvador.

You can go get her & take her back home to El Salvador with you. Or let her dig herself out of her own stupid mess.

BTW, dragging her kids all that way, through harsh dessert climates, etc, was extremely abusive of her children, and endangered their health & welfare. Instead of spending money on traveling, she should have spent that money at home for their benefit. What she did to her kids was downright criminal.

They don't seek asylum in the U.S. They seek asylum in the first safe country, which is Mexico. That is the law.

5 months ago her husband got asylum In the U.S and is now living in LA. He came straight from El Salvador to the U.S. Should she seek asylum in Mexico then the U.S? She can’t go back to El Salvador due to the gangs. I will be responding for her when seeking asylum In the U.S
