What would you do in this situation?

Random question but I’m going for it anyway.

Go back to when you were younger and imagine you were playing for a club, fairly decent level but nothing special. Another club rings you up and says “we want you to come and play for us, we’ve got good links with pro clubs and if you perform well you may be able to get a trial there. We’ve got good facilities, good coaches and we’ll improve your game”.

However this club would require a 1 hour 30 minute journey 3 x a week. You don’t drive cos you haven’t passed your test so it takes 2 trains there and 2 trains back during the winter when it’s cold and wet.

Would you take the opportunity or not? Cheers

If the club is "nothing special" then stay where you are.

You can "improve your game" yourself anyway and so not rely on the promise of another.
