In your opinion, when do you think Hitler started losing the war?

    When he double crossed russia and started a three front row. Hitler held the upper hand for awhile, but after he lost stalingrad, I'd say hitler was losing the war

    Instead of consolidating the western advance and defeating England he invaded Russia. His various defeats in Africa didn't help. He needed the oil.

    Attacking Stalin before concluding matters in the West. Losing the Battle of Britain meant that the prospect of an Allied invasion on 'Fortress Europe' was simply a matter of time. Getting bogged down in the USSR and then declaring war on the USA just hastened the inevitable. So from 1942 onwards and most Germans realised this by 1943.

    Autumn 1940. Hell bent on invading Russia to acquire 'Lenbensraum' which wasn't even necessary.

    He could have kept all of his other gains and invaded the UK until it surrendered. Communist Russia would have let things be. America would have kept out of it.
