Why can Anonymous posters block us but we can't block them?

You can block them, if you catch them before they switch to anonymous. They will have equal challenge blocking you if you choose to use anonymous.
You're free to award BA to whomever you choose. You can still benefit from the knowledge, wisdom, or experience of an anonymous user without awarding them 10 pts. Those who are here to help people won't care about the pts anyway.

It's terribly unfair and gives the Blueface a strong sense of power. Yahoo needs to get rid of this feature.

Thats Because Before they go under Anonymous they can Visit your Answers Profile and Click on the Block Button

The way the system works is that anyone you block is added to your block list, which includes a clickable link to their profile page. If you could block an anonymous member, you would then be able to see who they are. That would render the anon feature completely useless.

When the email notifications are working properly you can see their usernames and block them.
