Self abuse is rarely... Make that never helpful.

Its much much better to be punched by someone, and then its your turn on him. Both of you will advance.

You should try a medicine ball if you want to do that. Much safer. Not sure if it actually helps anything though.

Hitting your abs, particularly with that much unpadded weight, is a bad idea and will likely lead to injuries. Don't do it.

Not really a practical way of conditioning. You can have internal injuries, to deep bruising, to breaking ribs. Also you do know that if you choose to condition in such way you also do nerve damage to that area. Also FYI mant martial artists who do train as such use herbal treatment such as dit da jow to aid in healing process and reduce long term damage. And without such you risk irreversible damage.

Another concept was Muhammad Ali used to have his training partner punch him in the kidney area to condition that body area. The problem was that he damaged his kidneys and was pissing blood.

Do as you wish it is your body, but you have been warned.

You should only start with 20 lbs. if it's comfortable for you. If not, then start with a lower weight and build up to 20 lbs. As kickboxer your abs are 10 times more important to train than any other part of your upper body.

Would dropping a brick on your face condition you for boxing?

Silly idea. Bruising would result which is unhelpful.
