Are Jehovah's Witnesses Being Lied to?

Without a shadow of doubt, there have been many untruths told to JWs over the last 130 years that were changed, yet without the leaders admitting that they had made errors initially, as they try to pretend they now have 'brighter light' on the teaching.

Take, for instance, the lie about the 144,000 number being literal. That doctrine was only brought in around 1935 when leaders claimed God had revealed to them that only 144,000 humans (from the time of Christ till Armageddon) would ever get to Heaven; all new converts to the JWs would be in an earthly class. They also said the heavenly calling was just about wrapped up back then, with only a tiny few 'replacements' needed when some of the anointed lost their heavenly calling. Well, 80+ years later, that doctrine has been blown out of the water with big increases year on year with JWs claiming to now have the heavenly calling. Necessity is forcing the leaders to prepare the ground to change the doctrine, to say the number must be symbolic, because the figures just don't stack up any longer.

Now, to avoid the charge of lying to JWs, the leaders need to just openly admit that the 1935 idea was a wrong idea and that they are going back to the view the first president had, in the late 1800s, that there would be two groups in Heaven, not just one tiny group of 144,000 people. Today's leaders just will not do that as that would prove they do not have the Holy Spirit's anointing. So, in order to keep all their followers unquestioningly accepting all changes in doctrine, they claim God is making the light brighter. That is a lie. The 'light' switch is being switched on and off.

It's one thing to make an honest mistake then to later admit it, but to claim the original idea was changed because God told the leaders a unique doctrine, then 80+ years later to 'adjust' the doctrine because God has given them 'increased light' on the subject, is a simple lie. Any Bible student who believes Jude verse 3 should know that. Had a literal numeric limit for getting into Heaven been God's truth, the apostles back then would have known it and taught it. They did not. The literal number idea of the 1930s is untrue and is now being exposed as a JW lie that is deceived millions, actively helping to keep them out of the Kingdom of Heaven.

They have learned the truth and share it with others.

    In my opinion

at least some of the authors of Watchtower literature must be aware of the falsehoods and careful cherry-picking (i.e. dishonest omission of relevant information) that appears in many Watchtower articles.

So - in my opinion - at least some of the "higher ups" are knowingly deceiving the "rank and file".

You have never been nice to any Jehovah's Witnesses. You look to insult us at all possible times.

In my view the JWs like other unorthodox sects in christendom have a "form of godliness" but deny the power of that godliness (2Tim 3:5)

They may agree with others that the bible was written by God or that he is the one true God --- but they deny the power behind this.

The authority and words of their watchtower leadership are more important to a JW than the sole authority and power of the word of God (2Tim 3:16 & Heb 4:12)

The gospel of Christ's death, burial and resurrection for our sins and the free gift of eternal life it offers (Rom 1:16, 6:23 & Eph 2:8-9) is the power of God --- but the JWs deny that power and say a person can only seek everlasting life through serving their watchtower.

Are JWs being lied to by their watchtower authority on these bible truths?

(1Tim 4:1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and DOCTRINES of DEVILS.

    v:2 Speaking LIES in hypocrisy..

If we are living in latter times then this means there are people in this world who have departed from the christian faith (meaning people who deny bible truth) and are teaching doctrines of devils which are based on lies about the bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses are all Bible students and because of that it would be hard to lie to them. We examine the scripture daily to see if what we learn are not only scriptural but also backed up by the scriptures. The scriptures are the authority, so if a teaching is not scriptural, it's a lie.

Are they connected with each other, with the Antichrist?

If you believe the bible then every denomination and religion is being lied to except for one specific group.

    Galatians 1:6-7

I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from the One who called you with Christ’s undeserved kindness to another sort of good news. 7 Not that there is another good news; but there are certain ones who are causing you trouble and wanting to distort the good news about the Christ.

Every church isn't accepted by God. There's only 1 approved denomination; the others are all distorted. If you believe the book anyhow.

I Think so. They changed their stance on the 144k within living memory, so that is kind of fudging the belief into something that tries to avoid the glaring errors in it.

"Look it up"--- using Watchtower resources. In other words, let JWs slant your research in their favor, instead of being objective.
