Do you ever bake stuff, just to make the house smell good?

Back in the 1960s anyone selling their house used to make home-made bread because, apparently, the smell of bread cooking makes a house feel more like home and people are more likely to be attracted to the house that smell of home-baked bread.

I actually made all my own bread in those days and everyone who called always commented on the beautiful smell in the house. I'm afraid that I don't have the energy to do that any more.

That fragrance of fresh bread rolls, naan bread, freezer cookies, apple strudel, lemon sponge cake, quiche/pie is soooo good!

Put on a pot of good coffee and you're sorted.

Sure, but I enjoy eating my cakes, cookies, scones, pastries and bread too, especially with friends and family!

I find baking super relaxing, on the other hand I put on weight if I eat too much of it of course.

Other less calorific house smell good things- get a aromatherapy diffuser lol!

I don't bake. But I think this is a fantastic idea. The smell is as enjoyable as the food.
